About me
Simón. Simón Perera holds a degree in Biotechnology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a Master's degree in Biological Anthropology from the University of Barcelona.
He has worked as a project manager and business developer at various companies, including Anaxomics and Bioinformatics Barcelona, and as a research support technician specializing in scientific communication at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF).
In his role as BDM, Simón is responsible for overseeing and executing the company's commercial strategy. This involves identifying the most promising markets, clients, and partners, as well as coordinating and managing contact with them to find common ground and reach mutually beneficial agreements.
What he enjoys most about his work is connecting with potential partners, as it allows him to stay up-to-date on the latest scientific advancements in various fields (biomedicine, sustainability, drug development, among others). Another of his greatest passions is applying our knowledge and technology to address problems of social interest.
As for his personal life, Simón considers himself an avid reader and a compulsive music lover. His recommendations are quite varied, but if he had to highlight a few: "Leaves of Grass" by Walt Whitman as a book, "L'havanera tita" by Pep Gimeno (el Botifarra) as a song, and "Moulin Rouge" as his favorite film.
In this post, we've introduced you to another member of the ProtoQSAR team and his professional and personal contributions.
