About me
Beatriz Domínguez-Gil holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Salamanca. She earned her doctorate in Internal Medicine from the Complutense University of Madrid and worked as a nephrologist at the 12 de Octubre Hospital in Madrid from 2000 to 2007.Before being appointed director of the National Transplant Organization (ONT), she worked as an attending physician at the ONT, joining in 2006. Author of over one hundred publications in scientific journals, she has a strong international presence, serving as co-chair of the Custodian Group of the Declaration of Istanbul, a professional document signed in 2008 to define best practices for combating organ trafficking.
