About me
Monica is the co-founder and CEO of Manina Medtech. She has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, 20+ years of research in life sciences, and a master's degree in Biodesign, Innovation, and Healthcare Entrepreneurship. Monica previously worked with RehaBeats, an online cardiac rehabilitation startup. At Manina, she identified the unmet clinical need and developed the science behind the patent supporting Seedchrony (a medical device for real-time assessment of uterine readiness for embryo transfer in IVF). She also established a long-term collaboration with the Vall d'Hebron Institute of Research. Monica was recognized as one of the top 10 European women entrepreneurs at the 2022 EITHealth Women Entrepreneurship Bootcamp. In 2023, she received the Women Tech EU award from the European Commission for her leadership in DeepTech companies in Europe. She was selected to participate in the Academy of Entrepreneurial Women (2023) and Jump4Startup (2024), outstanding accelerator programs for women founders organized by Foment del Treball and the Embassy of the United States.
