Isabel Portero (Salamanca, 1970) is the founder and CEO of Biohope, a startup dedicated to the creation and development of biomedical tests that allow for personalized medical treatment in diseases with an immunological basis. A Doctor of Medicine and specialist in Internal Medicine, Isabel has a diverse career spanning hospitals, universities, and industry.
She specializes in drug development for both advanced and traditional therapies, diagnostic tests, and biomarkers, with a strategic and business-oriented approach to research. To date, she has secured over €5 million in public funding and private investment, and thanks to a major European project under the Horizon 2020 program, she will bring her first product to market.
