Verification address: www.ebizkaia.eus. In 1985, he worked for six months as an economist for the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, carrying out his duties in the Barrika City Council. In December 1986, he began his professional career as a civil servant for the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, after passing the competitive examination for the Census Tax Agents Corps within the Department of Finance and Treasury. On October 1, 1998, he passed the competitive examination for the position of Finance Inspector for the Provincial Council of Bizkaia. On April 1, 2004, he was appointed Deputy Director of Inspection for the Bizkaia Provincial Treasury, a position he has held to this day. He has served as the Bizkaia Provincial Council's representative on the Basque Country's Commission for Combating Tax Fraud since 2013. He was a lecturer in the University of the Basque Country's Postgraduate Diploma in Taxation (2002-2012) and in the Master's Program in Tax Consulting at the Bilbao Chamber of Commerce, where he taught courses related to Value Added Tax and Corporate Income Tax (2014-present). He is also a lecturer in the Master's Program in Business Administration at the University of the Basque Country, where he taught courses related to Value Added Tax (2016-present). He contributes to specialized journals on Basque regional tax law, having published articles on various aspects of general tax regulations, Value Added Tax, and the Economic Agreement.
