Carles Domènech, PhD, is Executive Chairman, CEO and co-founder of AbilityPharma, with 30+ years of international experience in biotech, pharma business development, licensing and venture capital. He holds a Biology degree and PhD from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, plus business training at ESADE. Since 2009, he has led AbilityPharma, advancing ABTL0812 from academia to international Phase 2b trials. Previously, he held senior leadership roles at Almirall, ACCIÓ, Lacer and BCNemprèn, specializing in licensing-in and licensing-out deals, strategic R&D management and partnerships with global pharma companies exceeding €100 million. He also worked in cancer research at Sloan Kettering NYC.
